来！来来！来来来！应该是大家都非常喜欢看的一个帖！今天轮到FBL学生注册下学期科目。可是，大家预料到的问题如常发生了！应该可以说我们院校的ICEMS已经达到了一个稳定水平了！因为该发生的都会发生。果然是保持到很好的服务素质。他们依然这么懒！学生依然更睹懒！
今天ICEMS采用了另一个让我们更睹懒的解决方案！那就是白兔server!我本身不知道这是什么鸟东西，也不想知道。每个学生都有不同的连线通往注册网站。更搞的是，没有一个是行的！几乎很多校外注册的都失败。真的没有办法之下，终于被迫相信他们所谓的“紧急救护队”。于是加入他们的YM ID。过了15分钟才通过～ 应该是他们今天早上突然多了很多“网友”吧！

erm..actually i m far awy from MMU and i did not knw wat happen actually. I juzt access to ICEMS as usual, online system >> pre course registration. I am wonder where u all get this links?? y so many links? then after i finished my rgistration, then only i received that link start v "p....."..that one really fast la..hehe..but useless for me ;p

yea....about so many links...i also dunno....it just changed....i mean by clicking on the same target...it leads to different sub-server. sien
yea, but also depends on MMU allocation....the only way to solve this year-to-year crisis is to install a bigger server. And mmu seems reluctant to spend on this...

The trainee sat beside me, also get frustrated trying to access the Course Registration.
Well, I guess these lab-mouses, ops, lab-rabbits really a real telecommunication consultant!
I think, a bigger server which allow more sessions (more students can login) will help a lot. Of course, it's a bomb on the balance sheet.

too bad MMU did not look far enough to upgrade themselves on this. If it is few years back, yupe, even with this lagging and slow server they are known as "Multimedia"...but not now...
some of IPTA multimedia facilities are even better than us....
hope i can graduate fast before MMU keep de-grading themselves...
but no worries....just frustrated during that moment...eveything is ok now...i get the class i wan..

they upgrade already, the icems, dengkil, precr servers are better than last time's mars, pluto, moon, pluto server... but still not good enough. they should really try on load balancing lo.

precr/icems/arnab/kucing/tikus... all these are web servers names... but are they able to handle sudden surge of logins/users at the same time? are these residing in the same physical server? or are they virtual servers?
Rule of thumb; back to the drawing board...
How many webservers at the front?
How many application servers at the middle?
How many database servers at the end?
And not forgetting how many security layers at the front/back and the middle!

lolz... after 3 months then only i noticed someone replied to my comment when i do a search on my own name.
anyway, i'm not someone in charge of the system... no use for flaming me.
i only know that the server had improved in terms of hardware, that's also what i've heard from insiders.
it's just improved, but not enough also because it can hardly handle the sudden surge of users.
considering ROI, MMU won't invest so much just for occasional bottleneck probs during CR (especially during CR of FBL students). what they will probably do is to do a better precr login scheduling.
number of three tiers of servers, how do i know? i've no right to know, lolz.
bypassing the SSL layer seems to speed up the loading time and that's why there are links besides the original "icems" hostname.
